Winemaker
Hi, my name is Jason Moore and I am the winemaker and founding partner of Modus Operandi Cellars in the Napa Valley.
You know, wine is one of those things that to many people, can incite a tremendous amount of feelings and emotions. Wine is enchanting and mysterious, gives joy, confuses, and inspires. In many cases, these complexities lead to a love which leads to a strong passion for wine. For me it lead to Modus Operandi Cellars.

Passion
A while back, I wrote a quote that I now have printed on every bottle of Modus Operandi wine... "For some, determining ones true purpose in life is accomplished thru following the path of least resistance, and thus relinquishing to passion".
When I was 24 years old and living in Dallas, I did just that.
In 2002, my wife and I decided to follow MY path of least resistance and relinquished to my passion for wine, and in doing that, sold everything we owned and moved half way across the country where I was to pursue my lofty aspiration of becoming a winemaker in Napa Valley.

Honor
I am delighted and thankful to say that today, Modus Operandi and Vicarious wines is in its 8th year of production with the 2011 harvest.
We have had the honor of being selected to be served at a historical White House State Dinner and we have received rave reviews from our critics and customers.

Dedication
I've dedicated my life to the pursuit of making great wine. Countless number of loyal customers have told me that they envy the move I made and wish that they too could drop everything to pursue their dream, whether it be wine, art, food or whatever.
Well take it from me, the son of a carpenter and a person who discovered his love for wine by being a waiter in Dallas, that anything is possible when you relinquish to your passion and start with WHY you wish to do it. Until then, I hope that you will experience MY passion, vicariously thru the Modus Operandi in YOUR glass.
